Visiting Fellows

Our Department welcomes researchers and students from foreign universities who want to work with our staff on joint research projects.

Visiting Fellow programme

The University of Pisa Visiting Fellow programme funds qualified researchers from foreign institutions to carry out research, study or collaboration activities at our Department.

  • Duration: from 1 to 12 months.
  • Funding: up to €3,000 gross per month, plus possible reimbursement of travel and accommodation. Fellows also get a workstation, insurance, network access and discounted Italian language courses.
  • How to apply: there is no fixed call, so you can apply at any time of the year. Either send your application (Allegato A, CV and ID) to the International Coordinator at international@dst.unipi.it, or ask your host at our Department to invite you (Allegato B). Applications are approved by the Department Council.
  • Seminars: Visiting Fellows are encouraged to give at least one seminar during their stay.
  • Visas: non-EU researchers need a research visa. See the programme guidelines for the procedure.

Visiting students
