Opportunità di tirocinio 'EU Policy assistant' presso l’Ufficio Circle U. di Bruxelles, rivolta a studenti di laurea magistrale o a neolaureati. Maggiori dettagli nel documento allegato.
N.B. contrariamente a quanto previsto dal Bando, le procedure di selezione saranno effettuate direttamente da Kevin Guillame, Segretario Generale di Circle U., a cui dovranno pervenire CV e lettera motivazionale in inglese, all’indirizzo e-mail secgen@circle-u.eu entro e non oltre il 26 gennaio 2024. Il/la potenziale vincitore/rice riceverà un contributo finanziario pari a 450€ mensili per un massimo di tre mesi.
Il Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra offre al proprio personale docente e tecnico/amministrativo le seguenti opportunità di mobiltà all'estero:
- Il Programma Erasmus+ Staff mobility for Teacing (STA) consente al personale docente di svolgere un periodo di attività didattica presso un Istituto di istruzione superiore che abbia stipulato con il nostro dipartimento un accordo bilaterale (Erasmus partners) -se mancasse, le due organizzazioni devono firmare un accordo prima dell’inizio della mobilità. La durata della mobilità dipende dallo stanziamento dei fondi stabilito annualmente dall'Ateneo, tipicamente circa 7 giorni. Durante la mobilità l’attività di docenza prevista è di almeno 8 ore alla settimana. La mobilità per docenza può essere combinata con un periodo di training per aggiornare le proprie competenze e in questo caso il numero minimo di ore di docenza richieste per soggiorni di una settimana (o per soggiorni più brevi) è di 4 ore.
- Il Programma Erasmus+ Staff mobility for Training (STT) consente a tutto il personale (docente e tecnico/amministrativo) di fare un periodo di mobilità per aggiornare le proprie competenze in un Istituto di istruzione superiore o organizzazione pubblica o privata con sede in un Paese aderente al programma o in un Paese partner attivo nel mercato del lavoro o nel settore dell’istruzione, della formazione, della gioventù, della ricerca e dell’innovazione. La mobilità per training va da un minimo di 2/5 giorni consecutivi ad un massimo di 2 mesi.
- Le candidature STA e STT devono essere presentate al CAI del Dipartimento entro le scadenze stabilite dall’Ateneo, che saranno notificate ai docenti dal CAI. Nell’attribuzione delle mobilità il CAI terrà conto del principio della rotazione dando la precedenza a coloro che non hanno mai utilizzato tale opportunità.
- Il Programma Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) consente la mobilità docenti e staff nei Paesi extraeuropei (KA171). L’Ateneo di Pisa gestisce i progetti KA171 centralemente mentre il CAI del Dipartimento indica all'Ateneo, previa ricognizione interna, i paesi extraeuropei di interesse e le possibili relazioni pregresse. Le modalità per la presentazione della domande sono indicate in Opportunità all'estero nella sezione per docenti e ricercatori.
- Il Programma Circle U. consente ai docenti di ottenere finanziamenti per progetti (Seed funding), e a post-doc e staff amministrativo di ottenere finanziamenti per la mobilità verso una Università dell'Alleanza Circle U.
Il Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra offre le seguenti opportunità di studio all’estero per gli studenti iscritti ai propri Corsi di Laurea:

ERASMUS+ Outgoing
Il Programma UE Erasmus+ consente agli studenti di svolgere un periodo di studio o di tirocinio (traineeship) nei Paesi membri dell’Unione Europea e in altri Paesi aderenti al Programma, conseguendo crediti universitari con la garanzia di ottenere il riconoscimento delle attività svolte all’estero.
Il Programma fornisce un contributo economico per due tipi di mobilità: Mobilità per studio o Mobilità per traineeship.
Ai fini della graduatoria Erasmus+ e per tutti i CdS la lode viene conteggiata 32 e il numero massimo di crediti conseguti con idoneita' e' 4.
Mobilità per studio
La Mobilità per studio consente agli studenti di frequentare dei corsi, e di sostenerne i relativi esami, presso un'università - istituzione partner - con cui il Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra ha firmato un accordo Erasmus+. L’elenco delle istituzioni partners può essere consultato nella pagina Erasmus Partners, dove si trovano anche i link verso la relativa offerta formativa. La disponibilità della istituzione partner deve comunque essere verificata sul sito Erasmus Mobility nel Bando Erasmus con i relativi allegati.
I crediti conseguiti presso l’istituzione partner vengono riconosciuti nella carriera dello studente se presenti nel Learning Agreement (LA), un documento che viene compilato dallo studente nelle tre fasi della mobilità: Before-During-After. Il LA Before contiene il dettaglio dei corsi e dei crediti da acquisire all'estero e deve essere concordato dallo studente con il proprio Presidente di Corso di Studio prima che sia approvato dal CAI. Il LA During è richiesto solo qualora durante la mobiltà sia necessario effettuare delle modifiche al piano di studi previsto nel LA Before. Il LA After deve essere prodotto al rientro dalla mobiltà e contiene il dettaglio dei corsi, dei crediti e dei voti effettivamente conseguiti all'estero. Tutti gli LA devono essere firmati dallo studente, dal CAI del Dipartimento di Scienze della Terrae e dal CAI del partner Erasmus+ tramite il sistema EWP OLA online system. Gli LA After sono anche successivamente approvati dal Consiglio di Corso di Studio (CCdS).
Conversione dei voti
Per effettuare la conversione dei voti, il CAI metterà a confronto la tabella ECTS con la distribuzione statistica dei voti del Corso di Studi a cui lo studente appartiene con quella prodotta dall’istituzione estera. Le tabelle ECTS contengono la distribuzione statistica dei voti conseguiti da gruppi omogenei di studenti in un determinato periodo e vengono prodotte dall'Ateneo di Pisa ogni anno. Nelle tabelle ECTS, per ciascun voto, viene riportata la percentuale di studenti che l’ha effettivamente conseguito. Il confronto delle percentuali cumulate di ciascun voto ne permette la conversione. Il voto estero verrà convertito nel voto associato allo stesso intervallo delle percentuali cumulative. Si consiglia vedere gli esempi di conversione dei voti indicati nell’Allegato 2 della guida “ECTS Users’ Guide”. Nel caso in cui gli intervalli delle percentuali dei voti si sovrappongano verrà assegnato il voto massimo. Le tabelle di distribuzione dei voti dei Corsi di Studio UNIPI sono disponibili nel catalogo ECTS (https://old.unipi.it/index.php/ects-catalogue) all'interno della pagina dedicata al singolo corso.
Qualora l'istituzione estera non rilasci la tabella ECTS con la distribuzione statistica dei voti ma usi la votazione locale e la vecchia scala ECTS (voti A-B-C-D-E-F), il CAI utilizzerà la vecchia scala ECTS (A: 10% più alto; B: successivo 25%, C: successivo 30%, D: successivo 25%; E: 10% più basso) per convertire il voto, usando comunque le tabelle di distribuzione dei voti dei corsi di studio UniPI.
Mobilità per traineeship
La Mobilità per Traineeship consente agli studenti di svolgere un tirocinio presso un’azienda o un’istituzione di Paesi partecipanti al Programma Erasmus+. Il Dipartimento non ha convenzioni specifiche con aziende e istituzioni straniere per i Traineeship, quindi lo studente deve interessarsi personalmente per trovare una sede e un tutor per svolgere il traineeship.
Lo studente deve compilare un Learning Agreement (LA) nelle tre fasi della mobilità: Before-During-After. Il LA Before deve specificare, tra le altre cose, il programma di tirocinio, il periodo da trascorrere all'estero e il numero di crediti da acquisire. LA Before deve essere concordato con un docente referente che garantisca l'attinenza del programma di tirocino con gli obiettivi del CdS (il docente referente e' a scelta dello studente ma deve appartenere al CdS dello studente). Il LA During e' richiesto solo qualora durante la mobiltà sia necessario effettuare delle modifiche al programma. Il LA After deve essere prodotto al rientro dalla mobiltà e contiene, tra le altre cose, il programma di tirocinio effettivamente svolto, il periodo effettivamente trascorso all'estero e il giudizio del tutor estero. Gli LA sono firmati dallo studente, dal CAI del Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e dal tutor dell'Istituzione partner. Tutti gli LA sono scambiati tramite il sistema EWP OLA online system. Gli LA After sono anche successivamente approvati dal Consiglio di Corso di Studio (CCdS).
Tesi
Sia la Mobilità per studio che la Mobilità per traineeship possono essere utilizzate per svolgere una tesi di laurea all’estero. In questo caso al momento della domanda occorre aver individuato un relatore interno (un docente del Dipartimento) e un relatore esterno presso l’istituzione straniera. Lo studente deve compilare i Learning Agreement (LA) come indicato per il tirocinio (vedere sopra).
Certificazioni linguistiche
Il CLI offre agli studenti vincitori di borsa Erasmus+ la possibilità di ottenere una certificazione linguistica per Inglese, Francese, Tedesco, Spagnolo, Russo e Portoghese. È possibile sostenere la prova di certificazione linguistica gratuitamente soltanto se si è vincitori di una borsa e se la sede ospitante richiede obbligatoriamente la presentazione di un certificato linguistico. Coperture assicurative
Gli studenti vincitori di borse per mobilità all'estero sono coperti dall'assicurazione per infortuni e dalla polizza di responsabilità civile dell'Università di Pisa. L'Università di Pisa non copre l'assicurazione sanitaria. Per i cittadini EU si consiglia di visitare tessera sanitaria europea e la sua validità nei paesi dell'Unione Europea. Per gli studenti non-EU rivolgersi al USL 5 - PISA, Ufficio stranieri.

The courses of the Bachelor degree in Earth Sciences and the Master degrees in Earth Sciences, and Environmental and Climate Sciences are offered in English if international students of the Department of Earth Sciences are present. The courses of the Master degree in Exploration and Applied Geophysics are always offered in English to all students, including those hosted at other Departments.

The Department of Earth Sciences, University of Pisa, welcomes applications from foreign students and offers the following exchange programmes:
- Erasmus+ Incoming, a programme dedicated to students from EU Member States, EU Economic Area States and the Non-EU States North Macedonia, Republic of Türkiye and Republic of Serbia. The programme offers Mobility for Studies and Mobility for Traineeship -both including theses
- Exchange student, a programme for international students enrolled at a foreign University that does not participate in an exchange programme, such as Erasmus+, but with which the University of Pisa has a bilateral agreement
- Visiting Student, a programme for international students enrolled at a foreign University to complete a study period or an internship at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Pisa

- Nomination
The Department of Earth Sciences, University of Pisa, welcomes applications from nominated students from Erasmus partner Universities. You can find the list of our current partners under Erasmus Partners. Please contact the International Office or the ERAMSUS+ Coordinator at your home University to find out if there is an agreement with the University of Pisa and if you are eligible to apply.
Once you have been nominated by your home University, you will receive an email from us with all the information to proceed with the application
Only nominated students will be able to access the application.

- Course information
The University of Pisa applies the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)
Exchange students are expected to enroll in ~30 ECTS credits per semester
We offer several courses in English both at the Bachelor and Master's level. Also many of our courses at Master's level include a final fieldtrip. You can find the list of courses in English at the Department of Earth Sciences under Courses taught in English. A complete list of all courses in English across the entire Univeristy of Pisa can be found at https://www.unipi.it/index.php/programmes-held-in-english
Incoming student must provide their programme of studies (Learning Agreement) through the EWP OLA online system. Students can select courses offered by different Departments but the majority of the courses (> 50%) must be from a degree of the Department of Earth Sciences (MSc Geological Sciences, MSc Applied and Exploraiotn Geophyscis, MSc Environement and Climate Science, BA Geology). Also, yuo must fulfill the eligibility requirements for individual courses, please check carefully the requirements in each course description.
The academic calendar will be available here. The timetable of the courses will be available approximately one month before the beginning of each semester and it will be published here.
- Language requirements
Good knowledge of English is necessary for courses taugh in English, reccomended B2 Level.
Good knowledge of Italian is necessary for courses taught in Italian, reccomended B1 Level.
- Thesis/Traineeship
In order to do a thesis/traineeship at the Department of Earth Sciences, you need to find a supervisor amongst our staff members. The supervisor must email international@dst.unipi.it to confirm approval.

Once you have been nominated by your home university, you will receive an email from us inviting you to activate your account and proceed with the application.
Register on the Alice portal to obtain the login credentials and complete the application.
