Board of the Degree Course

The Board of the Degree course is composed of the faculty members responsible for the courses offered, the Head of the Didactic Unit, Dr. Giuseppina Siniscalco, and student representatives. The Council is chaired by Prof. Adriano Ribolini, with Prof. Francesca Meneghini serving as Vice-Chair. In accordance with the Statute of the University of Pisa, the Council is responsible for planning and monitoring the educational activities of the program. It carries out these duties with the support of the Joint Teaching Committee and the Program Review Group.

Graduation Committee

The Graduation Committee is chaired by Prof. Adriano Ribolini, who proposes to the Head of the Department the calendar of graduation sessions and the appointment of committee members for each session. The Committee is supported by Dr. Tiziana Ciomei (tiziana.ciomei@unipi.it), who is responsible for processing the administrative procedures related to the final degree examination

Review/AQ Managment Group

It is responsible for the annual and periodic monitoring of the degree program’s performance through the preparation of the Annual Monitoring Report and the Periodic Review Report, identifying improvement actions and tracking their outcomes.

References Teachers

The References Teachers are faculty members affiliated with the degree program and responsible for its teaching activities. This group includes full professors, associate professors, and researchers—both permanent and fixed-term—depending on their academic roles, as well as teaching assistants.

Student Rapresentatives

Student representatives are regularly enrolled students elected to represent the interests of the student community within the governing bodies of the BSc. Their main responsibilities, as outlined in the academic regulations, include participation in the Board of te Degree Course. Their role is to contribute to the enhancement of teaching quality and university services.

Managing Commitee

The Managing Committee is responsible for promoting relations between the University of Pisa, the University of Geological Sciences (UGS, Uzbekistan), and the Ministry of Mines, Industry, and Geology (Uzbekistan). The committee's responsibilities include monitoring the quality of student services and resolving any issues, as well as strengthening relationships with Uzbek industry to ensure not only ongoing updates on the post-graduate employment landscape, but also the promotion of customized internships based on the specific needs of private and state-owned companies operating in the geosciences and environmental sectors.

The Managing Committee composed of 6 members, 3 from UNIPI and 3 from UGS and/or the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan, appointed by the respective Rectors.
