AXED. Proposal aims to investigate the present and past hydrographic conditions and the active gas seepage from the pockmark-field on the Kveithola Drift. Additionally, it aims to study climate and environmental changes controlling the evolution of living organisms in extreme environments. This proposal will actively support the detailed and focused investigation of the Kveithola biogeochemical system which dataset will be collected during the international EUROFLEETS2 cruise BURSTER, presently scheduled by June 2016 on the German R/V Polastern.
