I am a science and mathematics teacher with a passion for geosciences. I have been working as a Secondary School teacher since 2009. During my career, I have had several experiences ranging from adult education to collaboration in international projects (Comenius “Magic Bricks for European Citizenship”). I also coordinated, for three years, the work of the “Laboratorio del Sapere Scientifico” (Scientific Knowledge Laboratory) for the I.C. of Volterra.
I have an academic background in Natural science, I graduated in 2004 at the University of Pisa. Thesis Title: “Studio sedimentologico, malacologico ed isotopico di una carota proveniente dal lago di Pergusa (Sicilia)”.
The research work I am currently conducting deals with Geosciences Education, and in particular with the investigation of the presence and formation of misconceptions, conceptual change and teaching methodologies.
