Geologist, or rather geochemist, passionate traveler, and sea lover.
I have focused my studies on waters geochemistry, especially on heavy metals research. Currently, my research is focused on investigating the presence of heavy metals in waters, suspended solids, and sediments. I will carry out isotopic analyses to produce a statistical model of the phenomenon. The research area includes the hydrographic system of the Valdinievole sub-basin, the Padule di Fucecchio and the Usciana River, which are located in the western part of Tuscany (Italy). Many relevant anthropic activities and enterprises, such as paper mill industries, flora-nursery farms, and one of the most productive Italian tanning districts, are carried out in the area we are investigating. All of these activities are hazardous for the environmental and for the human health.
